The fonds consists of manuscripts, correspondence, research, promotional material, and other material relating to Downie's work as an author.

Physical condition

Many pages were found folded and creased. Some evidence of water damage was present, resulting in smudging across certain pages. Thermal fax pages are also present throughout the files, many of which have faded considerably.
