Biographical history

Baker, born in Ireland, emigrated to Canada in 1831. Member of Capt. Robert Jackson's volunteer artillery during Rebellion. High Bailiff in Kingston, then Chief of Police, 1840-48, member of city council 1870, Inspector of Licenses. Retired 1880.

Scope and content

Typescript contains many references to his life in Kingston in the 1830's.
