Robert Ayre (1900-1980) was born in Napinka, Manitoba. He worked for various newspapers (the Telegram, the Free Press and the Montreal Gazette) and from 1944 to 1949 he was editor of Canadian Art. He later (1950-1970) was Art Critic for the Montreal Star.... »
