VIMY: CARVED IN STONE

The story of Canadian Sculptor and Architect Walter Allward's work - Vimy Memorial in France. This monument commemorates the Battle of Vimy Ridge during World War I. The project was started in 1921 and completed in 1936. Episode 1002 of "To Build A Nation".

The fonds consists of records which reflect Rettig's work over a 50 year period. The records document both his personal and artistic life from his school years and training up until his practice as a professor and established artist in the community. The fonds consists of three series: Diaries/Journals; Miscellaneous and Sketches/Designs.
